Caleb + Elicia

Sometimes things just work out in a way that is unexplainable; other than that, it was meant to be. Caleb proposed to Elicia privately in a garden while on a picnic in Niagara Falls. While the three of us were talking about what to do and where to go for their engagement session (over brunch, I may add, which I have to say is the way to do it), I unknowingly suggested a picnic in the middle of a field. We settled on a location, date, and time, got the bill, and a few days later we were exploring one of my favourite locations in Simcoe County.

I’ve known Elicia for quite a few years now; we go to the same church, we were youth leaders together, and I photographed her sister Kate’s wedding this past winter, which you can find here. I have also taken a few photos of Elicia eating bread at a couple different weddings over the years, so it’s only fitting that I did the same thing for her engagement session. I can’t quite remember exactly when I met Caleb, but I know it was when the two were just freshly dating. I feel so honoured and blessed to be able to have witnessed snippets of their relationship and to have watched it grow. So without further ado (that’s a weird phrase, eh?), enjoy some of my favourite photos of Caleb and Elicia’s romantic sun-kissed field picnic and forest adventures.
